What is dried hibiscus?
Hibiscus (Hibiscus flower) is an alternate flower with petals. Also known as “sour tea,” hibiscus tea is also sold to herbalists by names such as “city rose” and “pomegranate flower,” and is typically lanceolate and oval with serrated or lobed edges.
The flowers are large, conspicuous, five or more. Leaves trumpet-shaped, white, red, orange, purple, yellow, 4-18 cm wide. In some species, such as those with a pink color, the color of the flower changes with age, H. tiliaceus: the fruit is a seed containing dry, lobed pods.
